New Years Day and 2008 is now upon us.
In my mind it seems to be one of those years you would never experience, or maybe a year you never thought about. You know what I mean? There are certain states that hardly ever cross your mind like Kansas or Minnesota. But as I have read and heard today, "2008 is the year of great!". I sure do hope so.
Last year brought new friendships (as I pray the rest of my years do), new beginnings, unimaginable changes, scary feats and new found loves. This year I hope to travel more and move to the city. I hope to wear in my suitcase, gather pictures of the things that I love and become more of a lady.
Resolutions? I'd rather not say...it's almost like "jinxing" it...even though I don't believe in "jinx". Ehh maybe I do, but who really cares, right?
I have been collecting even more household items for when I move out. I've found a little place in downtown franklin that I'm looking at though my heart would love to be in the city city city- with buildings, lights, noise and people-I know that the plans He has for me will be just what I need. Tonight I bought some dishtowels from Willams Sonoma, a candle and another bottle of fragrance oil for my lamp. Currently I'm on the look out for a new lamp, one much taller than the one that I have which is so very tiny. Here are a couple of my ideas:

We'll see...I'm on a limited budget and I don't want to get something so trendy that I've spent a fortune for a piece that's tacky.
Tomorrow I return to my regular working schedule. I have two more days left kidsitting for one family and then my usuals.
With that said, here's to new beginnings, new travels, and new loves.
