It feels like it's been a while since I last wrote a post.....so sorry.
Lots of events have occurred in my life as of late.
Let me just review for you. Little Betsy's been a movin' and a shakin' and a pretty blessed.
Wednesday night ( like my last posted stated) was Kings of Leon. Absolutely memorable, they know how to put on a show. I moved like never before and I was concerned with nothing else but the music and dancing. Sometimes you just have to let go.
I'm finding I hold so much back that when I actually let go people are surprised.
The rest of the week went as normal- I worked in my cupcake world and talked to a regular for quite some time. I love getting to know people.
Sunday I woke up and got ready for church with Lauren and Nicole. I enjoyed so much the service, especially the music. They played more of my type of worship and I was just sooo filled with joy. He is mighty to save.... SO FREAKING MIGHTY TO SAVE!
When the service ended and everyone started to stand up Lauren said, "I want you to take my Iron and Wine ticket."
WHAT?!!! Are you kidding me?? I can't do that, that's Iron and Wine. That's a spectacular show that no one should miss....ever! I tried to tell her I had plans but she beyond convinced me to take me her ticket.
Nicole and I went to the Ryman- filled with pews and bearded men alike, the show started. Plaid was the pattern of choice, beer in every hand....it was a great crowd.
The show started off with Each Coming Night followed by Upward Over the Mountain- amazing. There were times when I would sit there, jaw dropped, in awe of how fantastic the show was. They would build and build the melodies with their instruments.
Also an inimitable smell permeated the room, it smelt of alcohol and hippie. Perfection.
I wanted so badly to get a poster but by the time the concert was over they were sold out. Sad sad day.
Yesterday I had to bite the bullet and buy a vacuum cleaner. Honestly I can't afford to pay for a vacuum cleaner but our apartment carpet was definitely in need so I did. Another big girl purchase. Hello big, expensive, unexpected, exciting world! I like you.
Last night Adam got into town. Finally! I missed him so very much- I was just happy to see him face to face and be in his presence. We walked around downtown Franklin and I absentmindedly dressed as if it were spring. Really Betsy? Don't you remember it's late November? Just sayin'. So anyway we walked and talked and held hands and life made sense. There's something to be said about happiness.....I sure am happy right now.
Thanksgiving is in 2 days which I can't believe. I'm ready to be with my family again and have the day together!!

oh well.
I didn't know you were at the Iron and Wine show. My wife and I were there as well. Great show eh?! I did a write-up of my thoughts on it on my blog as well.
Oh and I left my coffee mug in the Thomas Room last week. Oops! (I'm terrible about leaving stuff) Hopefully I'll be back soon and can get it.
