oh my goodness, what a weekend.
When I think about all that I did the past 3 days, I really had no rest. Sure I may have gone to bed early, but I didn't get to be lazy one bit.
FRIDAY
I met Whitney for dinner at wholefoods for sushi after having gotten lost for who knows how long then we went to The War Memorial Auditorium to see The Avett Brothers! Definitely a Jessica/Lindsey crowd. Seriously, if you mixed their two types of guys they would look like the people who love the avett brothers.
They were really good and the crowd was much more enthusiastic than I had expected, almost like I was at an Irish festival or something....beer puddles, jumping people, fists raised in the air....drunken flirty baffoons. Good times.
During the concert this guy who I stood next to kept apologizing to me for his "drunken flirty bafoon" of a friend...and saying he was sorry for bumping into me. I was just like, "No worries man, it's a concert. You bump into people, people drink it's fine."
Randomly during the show he would tap me on the shoulder and ask me questions or tell me things. What's your name.... Where do you go to school... Aren't they awesome?!... Towards the middle he tapped me on the shoulder and whispered in my ear "So I just wanted to tell you that I think you're really pretty. I've been watching you during the show and I think you're cute"
I was so taken aback. Really? Someone thinks I'm cute? WHAT?! It was such a fun thing to hear after having such a crappy morning. Once the show was over, the lights come on and we're all back to the real world- I sort of assumed we would both ignore each other, but instead, :), he stopped me and said, "I'd love to see you outside of here, we should hang out sometime."
So being stupid me I said, "Awesome!" and of course nothing else...because I didn't know what to say. Anyway he said, "Well, could I get your number? I mean, would that be okay? I don't want to be creepy, but could I have your number and call you sometime?" So I said yes...who knows if he'll even call, but it was the simple fact that someone thought I would be cool enough to get a number from. So thank you, Ben. You helped my night end quite well!
After the show Whitney and I drove around for about an hour or so and took pictures for quite a while, then back home to sleep and feel normal.
SATURDAY
Saturday was my second day to train at IveyCake and I think I'm getting the hang of it! The people that come through are so very sweet and excited about the shop. I know I'll be happy there, so glad God has placed me there.
I'm not required to do much but be nice and sell cupcakes. Both of which I think I can do :)
Later that afternoon Zack called and we hung out for the evening. Bestbuy, West End, WalMart.... Being completely broke and out of gas, he was nice enough to buy me dinner and hang out for a while. Though the night didn't end on the happiest note by any means, I liked that during the day we could just chill with each other. We didn't get the chance to be friends when we first met, we just started dating. So I liked that, hopefully we can salvage a friendship....but I just don't know. I went to bed that night frustrated and worn out....I prayed for a better day, I prayed for a happier heart.
