The days of my official "big girl-dom" is inching closer and closer.
Every since I was little, well more so pre teens I've wanted to live on my own. Not in anyway saying my home life was bad, by all means it was the complete opposite, but what I desired was independence. I desired my own kitchen towels, my own candles to burn about their scents, my own little food to cook up my own little meals.
I even have albums that I'll listen to that make me want that single girl city life.....I always saw my adulthood in the fall living in the city.
Only four days left until those desires of mine come to fruition. For about 5-6 years I've collected things here and there to at some point accumulate enough for a small home. Nothing fancy or grand, but something sweet and cozy. I have plates and cups, little one-flower vases, napkins, measuring cups, pictures galore and the other what-have-yous.
I'm using a lot of dashes in this entry. oh-me-oh-my-oh)
After calculating my expenses I will be flat broke. But I know it'll be a happy flat broke. At least/most for a week and then I should be able to eat more than rice. Kidding kidding. (Maybe not so much kidding, but you've gotta joke to ease the pain of being broke.)
I definitely need a couple of things before I move in like towels and cleaning products...even light bulbs! You know what's weird, I'll have to buy my own light bulbs. I'll have to buy things like saran wrap and sandwich bags....I've never bought those before. Paper towels and toilet bowl cleaner. I can even buy my own potted plants for my very own deck-like thing.

Ahhh yes, here we go.
It's exciting. I feel like this is a very special time in my life. God has placed Brittany, Kaelah and I in this place for many reasons. Some apparent to me now and some I have yet to understand why. But here we go, walking forward on the path that Christ has made for us! Good things I say, good things!

Before I go I must mention that a little indie band out of Silverlake, CA which I'm sure I've mentioned before- Castledoor- has just released their second EP. This is a bit more special though because it's available on vinyl. Only 3 songs but only $8.00!

You know, I just remembered I'll need to buy trash bags. Dangit. Oh and those sponges, to wash dishes with.
