Roadtrips are always fun. You get away from your norm,
your mundane, and your comfort zone.
Looking back it seems that I spent a large amount of time
in the car with my family, roadtripping all over the south-
east to family member's homes. I think I've been to every rest
stop between alabama, north carolina, tennessee and georgia.
Our first full day there we went to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure.
A little mountain town that my heart has grown close to. I'll
live there one day, I'm sure.
Saturday we met up at a local coffee shop with long time bff Nikki
and our new found friend of Nikki's, Linnea. We drove up to downtown
Asheville for some needed young people.
I love that city. Every sidewalk has a boutique and cafe. Scattered about
is the smell of incense- random alley ways lead to community yard sales.
(They were great and I want to go back in June for the other one)
Gardens were made behind brick buildings, dredlocks weren't so few and far between,
and the people seemed so genuinely light-hearted. Love.
There were vintage clothing stores on every corner and a long bearded mountain
guy playing his guitar on almost every bench. An endless amount of art- everywhere you looked held a personal creation. All the while, walking up and down the hilly streets you see mountains. They surround you- it was like a blanket. Every height and
every shade. I got to see a different part of this city that I hadn't seen before.
I fell in love. Maybe I'll move there someday....
Polaroids to come.
