My oh my how time flies!
Thanksgiving was great as it always is! It is one of those Holidays that truly makes me happy. I love getting up that morning, going down stairs to smell the food cooking in the kitchen and turning on the tv to watch the parade. I love the parade, oh how I love it. Ever since I was little I couldn't get enough of the broadway shows that would do their little 2 minute routine, not to mention the Rockettes! As a young girl I dreamt of being a Rockette but soon came to realize that my lack of height (I'm only 5'2")wouldn't get me very far. Later that evening we went to the movies as we always do to see Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. What a great movie it was! Natalie Portman did a fantastic job as did Dustin Hoffman and the new boy whose name escapes me. There were some great lines in there not to mention a great soundtrack. Speaking of which I downloaded a couple of songs already from there last night.
Next week is my last week of class before the semester is over. I am so very happy with the work we're doing right now. Going into this class I was filled with dread as I knew I would be working with charcoal and pencil but little did I realize that I truly enjoy it! Pen was a lot of fun and much cleaner, but charcoal has become a great enjoyment as well! I'll post pictures soon of what I've been doing. One outside project was of eggs in fabric (random) and the in class projects are fabric and white painted objects.
The time for the moving is growing closer as the year comes to an end. My heart hurts at the thought of leaving all of those that I love and care for. I have become so familiar with the roads and people here, yet I am leaving for an adventure. California is undoubtedly far from Nashville, but I know His plans are great. Tomorrow Jessica and I will get up early to go to Graceworks to get a couch and will afterwards head over to pick up our coffee table chest and side tables. This is so exciting yet so scary all at the same time.
But anyway, like I said, I'll be posting pictures. Tonight I will be going see movie, Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium with my friends and hopefully enjoy my weekend. Tonight after the movie I hope to decorate the miniature tree for my mom in her office at home. She loves birds and love to knit/spin, so I went to target and bought some really cute pottery looking birds and am going to make mini balls of yarn to put all over the tree. Fun stuff, right?
Keep warm and I'll keep you posted,
betsy
