Oh my word.
I've been saying that phrase one time too many and I even sound a little southern when I say it, I apologize.
I don't know where to start as I feel I've been going non stop. Sunday morning the O'More girls and I went to brunch at Rumba off of West End in Nashville. We had a thread on facebook that extended to about 58 messages. We were able to get everything settled and are having a party to night at my and Kaelah's apartment for the few of us tonight. Ugly sweaters, Pot luck, and Opryland for lights. But back to Sunday! After brunch I came home and shortly got a few things together to spend the day with my family in Spring Hill. I brought my sheets and comforter over to wash while hanging out. We all gather in the living room and start to watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase which I had yet to see until that day. I know, scoff scoff scoff.
During the movie I hear loud splashing noises and immediately know that it's the washing machine that over flowed. See, I have a faux down comforter that I hadn't washed in ages so I put it in there hoping that it would soak up all of the water, you know eliminating the overflow problem. Not so. Turned out there was an inch of water covering the laundry room floor which also flowed under the walls into the hall bathroom and into the garage. OH MY WORD! Yeah I said that and a few expletives. (oops)
Mamma got in clean up mode rolled up her pant legs and sent daddy and Esh to get towels. It turned out being a very Griswold Christmas time oddly enough! If there's one thing about us Harvill's it's that we get along so well and can totally work together as a team.
Buckets and hampers holding soaking wet towels; we tried to wring them out but it was so very cold outside that our hands became numb! Eventually everything was cleaned up and my accident just so happened to bring the family together. What can I say, I'm creative in my plans!
Monday was my first day without working at the Bennett house so I did what any newly unemployed person would do, I slept in! Brittany and I went to Panera to get her a bagel and while there I received a call to babysit that night for a party. Let me just say this house was beyond cool. They had a slide, you know like the one in Blank Check that went from the 3rd floor to the second and once you get to the bottom you land on a mattress. Like whoa. A freaking slide in their home! The father is in the music business and manages bands so all of the band members were just chilling out downstairs...all bandlike! It was funny because I saw these people and thought I have you on my ipod and yet you're right here! Weird but cool. Such a blessing, now I'm able to pay my utility, cable and eletricity bill for the month. Praise Jesus for His abounding provision!
Yesterday was also pretty mellow, I went to an antique store for about an hour or more to look around. I'm like a kid in a candy shop! I absolutely love antiques, vintage plates and jewelery boxes, old books, cameras, maps and post cards. I bought a couple of things for Adam which I hope he likes, his birthday is this Friday.
Poor boy (or man!!) has been studying his butt off for all of his finals. I'm so very impressed with his diligence and determination in knowing all of the information. I keep hearing that the first semester of law school kicks your butt and by his account, everyone truly is being kicked. Eeek he comes home this Saturday, I'm a happy hearted girl :)
Okay so that's enough for the longest post of mankind. I should update this more often. If you actually read this, kudos.
There's my little life...
