I'm getting back to how I used to be. Before the summer started I went to bed every night by around 10 or 10:30- I didn't have much to keep me up, plus I had to work the next day. The summer began and everything changed, my life sort of flipped upside down. New relationship, moving out, new/different friendships, busy-ness....you name it, my world decided it wanted to be hectic.
The summer has commenced and fall is back for a visit. The relationship ended, I've moved in, friendships have changed and some have become even greater, and I'm still a little busy. I welcome it all. I have a feeling this fall even more things in my life will be different, it's a new season- truly it is.
Yesterday Jessica and I went to Journey to Ecclesia, a young and artsy church held in The Factory. Such a great environment with great teaching and sweet worship. I needed that more than you know. I needed to be fed in the worst way and afterwards felt so renewed and energized. Going to church with Jessica felt like old times when we both started to visit Newsong. Both at the same time of year, actually. We agreed that we would like to start going there- hopefully I can get more connected than I was at Newsong. I need a community of believers surrounding me- I need that uplifting encouragement during the week.
We went to Noshville for lunch but of course I was a ditz and accidentally left my debit card there. We went to Starbucks afterwards (where I realized I left my card) and left to go back to Noshville to pick it up. Get this- after all of that we head home and I realize that I've lost my cell phone. What? Honestly? Really? Gahhhhh. I call Starbucks and of course I left it there. I don't know what is wrong with me, someone please help my feeble brain!
To cheer myself up I bought the newest Domino :)
I talked to our neighbor across the hall for about 10 minutes after I got home. Such a cool cool lady, so glad she's nice and a Christian! Yay for fellow believers! Anyway she jokingly made a comment about the mean man who lives below us. Apparently he gave the other tenants before us hell for them having a dog and whatever else. It's good to know that we're not as loud as he made us out to be. I guess when you're older and grumpy you have nothing better to do than complain about those living a life more active than your own. Does that sound bitter? Ehhhh probably. :)
Surupa is coming over this afternoon for a visit with Karisma! I need to find a goody for us to snack on...what to get? Maybe flowers too?
Okay longest entry ever coming to a close.....NOW.
