Music has an amazing indescribable effect on my heart and there is this everlasting bond I've built with it.

I get really weird when it comes to music and driving, most likely to my detriment I'm sure.
When in my car, or any place for that matter, I want to have the perfect music... and there truly is a perfect song for every moment. The playlists on my ipod seem endless, each made to recount my semesters in school, summer time sweltering days, and bare tree winters. I've given Lindsey about 6 mixed cds already and she would've been the owner of 4 more since the Christmas mix but my burner is broken. (Not Cool)

On a daily basis I try to keep adept to the music scene, finding new artists that I like and incorporating them into my day as to see if it's memorable stuff. I listen to many tracks- some melodies wander through my mind all day long where as others fail and I essentially become bored with their daft mix of dilettante-ish portrayal of music in seconds. What I really meant to talk about was/is this artist I've come upon who is no stranger to the music business.Hotel Lights is the indie-rock quartet comprised of previous Ben Folds Five drummer, Darren Jessee, whose songs such as 'Follow Through' (featured on Grey's Anatomy), 'You Come and I Go' (my former myspace song a few months back), 'Small Town S**t', and 'Stumblin' Home Winter Blues' construct a pretty great mellow record. I give this self-titled full length debut two thumbs up! Tomorrow I will listen to their EP, goodnightgoodmorning (released back in fall '06) and get back to you. Feel free to listen to the songs on their website link above. :)

I'm also a tiny record label geek so check out who they're signed with, Bar/None- they are home to artists such as Architecture in Helsinki, Of Montreal, Yo La Tengo, Juliana Hatfield, They Might Be Giants, and the list goes on.

So now that I've gotten really excited about sharing this new album with you, I hope you check them out.
As I am still without a job I'm sure you'll be hearing lots from me and if you visit my house you'll notice I've become a cleaner.
